House Move 2 took my eye straight away. Even before I saw the title, I was struck by its elegance as a piece of artwork.
In relation to the title, it well suggests the kind of stuff that collects around a life (and a house), some of it with sentimental value, but often just existing because it happens to be THERE. However, in this context it achieves a new dynamism and purpose in that it's on the move, it's being stirred up. So there's something exciting in the way the objects are placed, yet also something a little worrying. Although obviously benign objects, they've come together via some slightly out-of-control tendrils in a rather spiky way. As an analogy for some of the effects of a major change, it works rather well and could be developed.
I don't know if you see it in the same way. However, I like this piece a lot, even just as a work of art that is visually attractive and interesting. Reply to this
