I like the artless, unselfconscious treatment of the subject. There's no hint of pathos or heavy-handed photojournalism. What it conveys to me is the ebb and flow of time - the hand of Nature at work. Nice touch. Reply to this

On a purely artistic level I like Under the Bridge for its enjoyment of the mix and match of textures, which are photographed 2-dimensionally, but convey a seemingly tactile, 3-dimensional experience.
I think Boyd Gavin's comment about the ebb and flow of time is an illuminating understanding of this piece. However, I would add that for me there is a suggestion of a representation of the ever-present detritus that is the obverse of construction and achievement and which underlies all human endeavour. There is also, I believe, as in most of the other work in this series, a subtle environmental comment going on. As such, the almost-monochrome colour palette you have chosen seems perfect for this representation for this gently reflective piece. Reply to this
